One of our newest hires at Maintenance Connection, Jeff Ruiter, recently went on a service trip to Guatemala. While there, they focused on helping an impoverished area of the country with some very basic every day needs. One of the core values at Maintenance Connection is “Gives Back”, which Jeff has seemed to adopt fairly quickly.

Some of the projects included building chicken coops, vaccinating chickens and building wood burning stoves.

The organization that Jeff partnered with is called Catalyst Resources International (CRI). CRI was founded by Fontaine and Paula Greene in 2008, and is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to partner with Guatemalan pastors and other organizations in an effort to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people.

If your company does not have a program to give back to the community, we encourage you to work to start one. Our “MC Gives Back” program started when one person at Maintenance Connection realized how a very small investment on our end could make a huge impact around the world.
